Angela Newman, Founder

I am currently the Vice President of Supply Chain at Renal Advantage Inc. an outpatient dialysis company, located in Brentwood, Tennessee. In this operations role, I have oversight of the company’s supply chain functions including negotiating contracts with suppliers for pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and capital equipment. Previously, I held the position of Vice President of Logistics for National Nephrology Associates in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, I’ve held various roles in healthcare companies primarily focused on supply chain operations.

I volunteer my time at a non-profit organization, Nashville RBI (reviving baseball in inner cities). I have been involved with this organization for several years helping with fundraising activities, as a member of the Board of Directors and currently as Board Chair. I chose to volunteer for this organization because I am an avid baseball fan (New York Yankees) and support the organization’s cause in the community. Volunteering for a charity that is involved with something you love or are passionate about makes it all the more enjoyable.

Nashville RBI offers children in the inner city the opportunity to play baseball free of charge. The coaches, uniforms, bats and mitts are provided so all the children need to do is show up and play. The program currently sponsors more than 1300 children in the Nashville area. All proceeds for the organization are collected through fundraising events and corporate sponsors. In 2008, I chaired the golf tournament which was the most successful in its 12 year history.

In addition to working and volunteering in the community, I also make it a priority to spend time with family and friends. I am married to a wonderful man who supports me in all my endeavors.  He has encouraged me to do many of the things I’ve done and without his love and support I would probably not have accomplished as much in my life.

Between the two of us, we have seven children. I had three children and he had four when we married. The kids are all grown adults now and some with children of their own. Our son who served in the Air Force died in Iraq on June 7, 2007. That was a very difficult time for our family and we all miss him very much. We continue to support the soldiers in Iraq and around the world while remembering and honoring fallen soldiers and their families.
