Of the Essence is defined as absolutely essential; critical; crucial. In climbing a career ladder there are essential steps women must take. In addition, it is important that balancing work and personal life is achieved. As trying as it may be sometimes to balance work, volunteer in the community and spend time with family and friends, (which includes “me” time) it can be done.

Of the Essence includes articles about various career topics, community involvement, the Pink Ladder’s Book Store and incredible stories of other women and their successes.  In addition, there are many links to other websites that may be of interest in the Links and Things section.

I’ve included the section “Your Story” below where you can share the challenges and successes you’ve had in climbing your own career ladder. It can be attached as a Word document or typed in the comments section. If you decide to share your story, I may use parts of it in future publications.
